GED/CAEC


The Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) is a high school equivalency credential for adults in Canada who do not have a high school diploma. It replaced the GED® in Canada on May 3, 2024. 

What does the CAEC test?

  • The CAEC is a series of tests in English and French that assess reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science. 
  • The tests measure skills in communication, problem solving, information processing, and critical thinking. 

    Who can take the CAEC? 

  • Adults who do not have a high school diploma and are looking for educational or employment opportunities

    What can the CAEC lead to? 

  • The CAEC can help adults get accepted to college, improve their employment opportunities, and feel a sense of personal achievement
